Hello, my name is Jacob. I am form Monmouth, Oregon and I am an Eagle Scout. My current major is Business Administration. I enrolled in marketing because I want to learn how audiences react to advertising and how they affect sales. 

I am a fan of Oregon state baseball, I have held season tickets for the past several years and go to as many games as I can.

      In December of 2022, KBP Brands, a major franchisee or KFC, launched an experimental SMS program at over one hundred restaurants. The program allowed an operator to text promotions and deal to its customers. These text messages are targeted to customers based on local audience menu preferences, pricing tier, demographics and other competitive factors. Listening to Customers

  For this post I chose to talk about the recent recall from General Motors. Yesterday, Gm announced a recall of forty thousand Chevy Silverado trucks because of a risk of fire. I was interested in this topic because Gm recalled trucks as old as 2019 and, in my opinion, four years is a long time before you notice a problem like this. The company’s social media is mostly focused on the environment of the company, and marketing to prospective employees and building rapport with customers.   There social media sites feature video from employees showcasing the production environment, as well as some announcements and some videos showcasing first responders learning how to best deal with emergencies involving electric vehicles. General Motors has not yet responded to people talking about the recall, though they did report that they are not aware of any injuries related to the recalled trucks.
